Bread Salt Afghan Cuisine - Mississauga

What a fantastic restaurant! I highly recommend it! The atmosphere is lovely, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I stopped by to place a takeout order, and they serve the best Afghan cuisine! The food was prepared quickly and presented beautifully. The portion sizes are generous, providing excellent value, and there was more than enough for a second helping! Great job! I can't wait to dine here more frequently.

I had a wonderful lunch featuring authentic Afghan cuisine. We ordered a platter for two, which included a wide variety of dishes such as dumplings, kebabs, rice, bread, and salad. For dessert, we enjoyed a delightful pudding, infused with cardamom and rich in creamy flavor. I found the experience to be excellent value for the money, and I look forward to returning soon to try more delicious dishes!

Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. Our total bill came to around $75. The honey garlic wings were $13, but they were swimming in oil and appeared to be just boiled with honey garlic sauce slopped on top. The lamb chops, priced at $11, were four tiny pieces barely longer than my phone. The server initially claimed there would be six pieces, then explained that we received four because the chef decided to serve larger portions. She did go back and correct her mistake, ultimately providing us with two extra pieces without us asking. I ordered the lamb shank for $19, which was the only dish I enjoyed, while the $24 combo 6 featured undercooked beef, but by that point, we were too exhausted to complain. At the end of our meal, we learned that the chef was a trainee, but that shouldn’t justify poor food quality or quantity, especially since their prices are significantly higher than those of competing Afghan restaurants. The server was polite, decent, and apologized for the issues while correcting her earlier mistakes. However, discouraging a customer from entering with the statement, "we are about to close," when there is still an hour until closing—with multiple families already inside and another one admitted after us—felt disrespectful. Additionally, misrepresenting the quantity of a food item is also not acceptable.

Was pleasantly surprised by this place. As soon as you step through the front door, the atmosphere/ambiance makes it feel as if you?re in an elegant high end restaurant! Staff were extremely polite and service was quick, water was served with minutes after being seated and our food took about 10 15 minutes to arrive. I did find this place to be slightly more expensive than other Afghan restaurants that serve the same/similar food but I feel for the overall experience, it is worth it. What an awesome restaurant! I highly recommend! The place looks great and the staff was very welcoming. I went in to order and take some food to go an the person who served me was sohail he was very well mannered and treated me very good. They make the best Afghan food! It was prepared promptly plated beautifully. The portion and value you get is well matched and there will be enough for seconds! Great work! I'm looking forward to eating here more often. Also a big thank you again sohail i hope to see you again!!!!
