King's Donuts - Mission Viejo

10/10 on their pupusas! I came here for the first time and was definitely not disappointed!! Recommend trying out their food, I'll be coming back for more!!!!

Hidden Salvadorian gem! Delicious pupusas with several different options to choose from. Queso w/squash and queso w/chicken are my favorite but all I've tried taste great. Red sauce is a tad spicy for the kiddos but they eat them plain anyway. I mainly order delivery as the storefront is small and only 2 donut shop style dining benches/tables

I usually don't start reviews by talking about customer service, but King's Donuts is the exception! I walked in at 6:30AM on a Wednesday asking if they would help me out by making two dozen pupusas and a dozen tamales to bring to my work for a birthday celebration that morning and they graciously came through! It was about a 30 minute wait as they were still in process of prepping the food, but completely worth it and my coworkers loved it all. Thank you for understanding and providing wonderful customer service. That, my friends, is why I will continue to support this family business by coming back regularly and recommending to everyone I know (and don't know). The Foods Pupusas I know this is a donut shop, but their mind bending, soul-filling Salvadorian pupusas are hands down THE BEST! These masa flour tortillas are stuffed with various ingredients and fried to perfection. Top it off with curtido (fermented cabbage slaw) and red or green salsa and plan not to share because it's one of those comfort foods that makes you realize you should've ordered more. The pupusa's cheesiness combined with the salty/tanginess of curtido and slight kick of the salsa is an explosion of flavors and textures I've never known before. If you're feeling extra spicy, bite into the jalapeño pepper that comes with the pupusa and let it all jive in your mouth like one big happy family. Seriously, you can't go here and not order a pupusa or five. Tamales Their cheese and jalapeño tamales are undeniably delicious. I'm not a fan of dry tamales and these are definitely not that. Moist masa, cheesy filling, and a sprinkling of spicy jalapeño slices. Drizzle a little salsa and enjoy this moment in life where your food decisions flawlessly fell into place. Donuts An outstanding donut is when it's made fresh that morning and yes, King's Donuts delivers on that key component. They have a plethora of donuts to choose from and the only way you can go wrong is if you don't choose anything. Lightly crispy on the outside and airy on the inside... pick almost any donut and that's what you'll experience. I'm a simple person (pausing for my friends to stop laughing) so I usually get donut holes or a chocolate bar. The Donut Shop Feels King's Donuts is not a fancy establishment, but it is clean and comfortable to spend some quiet time in the morning stuffing donuts, pupusas, and tamales down the hatch. They also have a few wooden tables with cozy chairs outside if you're feeling outdoorsy. Parking is plentiful and I have never had issues finding a spot. Do I even need to mention that I'm a regular here? It's obvious by this gushing love affair note about how much I adore their food and customer service. Periodt.

Loved the pupusas here the revuelta and the queso con loroco are bomb have to try.

The donuts were not fresh at all; I could easily use them as hockey pucks. Additionally, the owners were very rude. I wouldn't recommend ordering from this store.
