This became our go-to spot during our stay in Mismaloya! The food was excellent, especially the lobster combination plate. We were able to bring home leftovers a couple of times, so the already affordable prices were even better! Drinks were stiff, big, and cheap! The service was amazing, and we were greeted with a smile. We already miss it!

We caught the local bus from Puerto Vallarta to Mismaloya... to snorkel at Los Arcos, which was a most enjoyable outing. We had finished just after lunch-time and had to walk a couple of hundred metres over a bridge to catch the bus back to Puerto Vallarta....they run about every 20 minutes. As we crossed the bridge...the bus went by..so as we had to wait another 20 minutes, we had a look around and noticed "El Jacalito" set just back from the road. It looked inviting, so we decided to drop in and see if we could maybe get a beer while waiting for the bus. We were welcomed and happily served a beer..and shown to a table. Since we were there anyway, we decided to stay for lunch. That was a great decision. My wife liked the look of the "Breaded Shrimp" with coconut and mango sauce which she loved...and I decided to try the "Quesadilla with Chicken" together with a "Burrito" which I also thoroughly enjoyed. From arrival to departure was less than an hour. The service was excellent...the food was delicious...the cost was inexpensive ...and we had only 5 minutes to wait for the next bus. A totally enjoyable day overall.

Fuimos a la playa de Mismaloya y me recomendaron el restaurante El Jacalito, un lugar sencillo y pequeño a la orilla de la carretera. Cuenta con pocas mesas, pero la comida está deliciosa y los mariscos que cocinan están frescos. Me tocó ver cuando pasaron los pescadores a entregarles.

Los alimentos son muy ricos, el servicio excelente y los precios muy accesibles. Esta ubicado sobre la carretera de Mismaloya pasando el puente.
