1809 Restaurant & Bar - Miramichi

Because it was a special Thanksgiving event, our family of 12 hoped for a better culinary experience. Unfortunately, the stunning view of the river couldn't make up for the disappointing meal we were served. While the service was friendly and attentive, the $36.00 per plate cost was excessive considering the lack of tablecloths and proper utensils. The meal arrived lukewarm and could not be reheated for all 12 of us. We had to order extra gravy to try and add some warmth to our dishes. Despite a nice presentation, the food lacked flavor and seemed to be low quality. The only items that tasted homemade were the potatoes and carrots. Dessert was underwhelming with only a small piece of "Toffe Pudding" offered, and no coffee or tea unless we paid extra. Overall, we were disappointed with the quality of the food and recommend avoiding this restaurant for special occasions or trying items on their menu. Additionally, stay away from their seafood chowder, as it has remained consistently poor for over three years despite claims of a new chef.

The restaurant offers a wide variety of menu options and provides very attentive service. The view of the river is absolutely breathtaking. Plus, they have delicious Dieuks coffee available.

Visited on 12 september 2022. the appetizer of hummus and red pepepr dip with naanbrot was decent. the beverage menu was not disappointed. 50 minutes after ordering the main thing I got the classic burger. outside was crisp and beautiful, inside was pink and red. that was personal. very apologetic and immediately treated it. I was told that they gave up the burger from the bill and were offered as a substitute, but I didn't want to wait an hour for it to be cooked completely, nor did I wait for it. our server thought this was unacceptable and hesitated the whole bill (wine, beer, fish and chips, and the raw burger.) she also gave us a massive disc of her chocolate cake with tee and coffee as an excuse. After I have experienced this, I don't think we're back, and we don't recommend going here for any kind of cooked food. to mention again, our server was great.

I'm sorry to say, but that was terrible. Seafood Chowder was 95% kartoffel swimming in a white flour sauce, the fatty succinne alfredo on the menu says homemade but enjoyed .... penne noodles and glassauce a few pieces tasteless chicken. The...waitress took the boy from our bill, but we didn't want to pee her any more, it's not her fault that eating was bad. yes, it's a few times. Yes, we all have geduld etc. but we could not recommend this restaurant for something other than a drink!

So very disappointed after making a reservation for a Mother’s Day brunch. I made a reservation for 8 people and the earliest we could get in was 1:45 for Mother’s Day and had horrible service. We were thrown menus and told we have 10 minutes...to order or they would stop serving breakfast. I had specified in the comments on my booking that this was a BRUNCH. After receiving our food the waitress gave me the bill without asking if we wanted dessert, coffee or anything else. When we asked for a dessert menu we were treated as if we were a bother and then after receiving the desserts and coffee I was given another bill without being asked if we needed anything else. I have never received poor service at this restaurant before however I was so embarrassed by what happened today when my mother and grandmother couldn’t enjoy their brunch because of this poor service.
