Acme Oyster House - MIRAMAR BEACH

We were able to cross Acme Oyster House off our Destin bucket list during a late afternoon when they were not as busy. I forgot our server's name, but she was very welcoming, helpful in making recommendations, and regularly checking up on us.We ordered both the raw and chargilled oysters. The spicy cocktail sauce that comes with the raw is VERY spicy--just the way I like it! And I especially enjoyed the gooey, cheesey chargrilled oysters with herb butter sauce. The Bread Pudding Milk Punch cocktail is also a winner.The only item that didn't quite tickle my fancy was the oyster shot. I'm typically used to it having other ingredients such as horseradish, lemon and pepper, but this one had very little cocktail sauce and tasted like straight up vodka.

Anytime we get out to Destin we always stop by Acme Oyster House. The Oysters were super fresh and not too salty and they have the best horseradish on the coast. The blackened shrimp was awesome as well. Adrianna took great care of us at the bar and Tanner was doing a great job shucking those oysters. You have to try Tanners Oyster Rockefeller as they are spot on.

We 've been here many times and I 'm a self-proclaimed Reviewer of Fried Shrimp in the greater Destin area! Previously rated the shrimp at AOH right up there with the best. Something was off with these yesterday....not quite as fresh seeming, little tough/rubber-like and just not the same seasoning in breading somehow. I 'll give them another chance, just surprised me since all they 've ever hit are home runs. Ray Oysters were terrific and wife 's Fish of Day, Blackened Red Fish was amazing. Love their coleslaw. Service was great. Fair price. We 'll be back, just get my shrimp back to perfection! We have 3 fav places for Shrimp in the area.

Was out with the kiddos they wanted some seafood. Acme was the closest, so we proceeded over. We walked in and were seated immediately. Our server was nice welcoming. She took our drink orders returned to take our food order. Our food came out in about 15 20 mins. Everything was hot, fresh, and full flavor. We had a shrimp fish platter, with coleslaw and fries. Two kids shrimp fries meals, chicken tender fries kids meal and crabclaws with fries. The waitress checked on us several times and filled our drinks without having to ask.This is a kid friendly place but always has a bar with several delicious looking drinks.
