Oakfire Pizza - Minocqua

The lady inside the door turns you away from the minute you walk in saying , “nothing but take out “ as I stare at 30 tables. Then, the pizza crust is very hard and thick .. not at all worth the $22 for a small pizza you can barely chew. The closing frozen flatbread pizza (which they claim is Neapolitan) is a real joke. For a premium location, the prices are far too high for frozen flatbread crust, and it’s simply not worth it. Food: 1, Service: 1, Atmosphere: 1.

The service was attentive, and our food arrived promptly. We dined at 6 pm, and the restaurant wasn't busy at that time. While the pizza had a good crust and plenty of toppings, it was missing that extra flair. It was also peculiar that the red pepper flakes and Parmesan cheese came in small foil packets; I suppose it's a cost-saving strategy. Unfortunately, the sauce lacked any excitement or distinct flavor. On a positive note, the restaurant was clean. Our group of four would probably consider dining here again next year. Food rating: 4.

The food was decent. We liked the pizza we got but the cheese curds were mediocre. Prices were a little on the high side but it's a FIB destination so you get what you get.
