We had a burrito, tacos and some delicious soup. Prices are reasonable and the veggies were fresh. Favorite is the al pastor, must
$18 for a beer and a mediocre burrito for lunch in an order at the counter place. Nah. I feel for small businesses but if you're charging this much, the food should be a bit higher quality. Chile verde sauce tasted like El Pato to me, lukewarm food. Chips and salsa extra.
Based on the review from the Californians, we went for a birthday. Based on that same review I ordered the Carne Asada platter and he had a Taco Salad. By the way, we 're from California too. They must have just cooked fish, because when my carne asada arrived, it smelled of fish. The skirt steak for the Carne Asada could have been used as shoe leather, it was so tough. The beans were beans. Guac was guac nothing special. When the employee came to see if we were happy with our meal, we said yes and asked for water. He said that all they had was bottled water. The decor was old; floors; booths. The salt shaker and napkin holder were greasy. The sign saying Lupita 's Tacos on the outside was home made, old, faded and a real turn off. But we decided to try it since we were there. Yah, we won 't return. It wouldn 't take much to spruce up the place and offer free water, and not cook the carne asada into shoe leather. The family who owns this place and who served us were kind and friendly. That 's the best I can say about it all.
The guac is out of this world! So fresh! Good chips, too. Whatever we've ordered has always been yummy and hot and correct. It's our go-to Mexican restaurant. Lovely people.
