The chicken was fried chicken, but the chicken pieces had sugar crystals on them and I did not like the sweetness with the Mac n' cheese at all, although this might be something other people like. I also found the chicken pieces to be too much dough and not enough meat for my liking. I got the cornbread as a side, and I thought it had white cheese melted on top or something, then I bit in and realized it was pure butter! This grossed me out a little, but if you are a butter lover you might like this.
I had the Kimchi burger and fried rice. Fried rice had too many onions and was extremely greasy. The kimchi on the burger was bland. I will go back and try the chicken.
Wow, this place surpassed expectations on so many levels! First, the mac n cheese is amazing. It 's got a very slight kick; enough to know it 's there but it will never overwhelm you. I 've never had gouda in my Mac before, but it tasted great! Also, I LOVE that you get Won Tons as a side. Everyone wants to eat about 2 wontons at every meal anyways; It 's great to not have to ask the question to the table, should we get Won Tons . The perfect side in a perfect portion. The fried rice dish was great too, however my only real complaint is that it was loaded with egg. A ridiculous amount of egg was in the rice. We picked a bunch of it out to even out the dish and maybe it was 3-4 eggs worth. I like egg, but I prefer it to be Fried Rice... not a Fried Rice omelet (I 'm obviously exaggerating that part .
Was not a good decision to eat their pork belly. Not flavored well at all, the fat was not cooked right and didn't have any flavor. I do not recommend at all. Their sauce was good they gave with the pork.
I've ordered nearly everything they have to offer and I'm unable to find a dish that isn't amazingly done. These guys really put thought into everything that goes into your meal. It's a shame with all the amazing food in North Loop, Soul Fu keeps pulling me back in!
