Lepot Chinese Hotpot - Minneapolis

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. Having visited several hot pot places, I can confidently say this is at the bottom of my list. The service was subpar; the server got several orders wrong right from the start and rarely checked on our table (the service buttons they provide are ineffective). To make matters worse, they had the nerve to add the maximum tip to the bill without my consent, which was handwritten after they returned my card. The tables were cramped and uncomfortable as well. The only reason I gave any stars is that the food appeared fresh and the broths were enjoyable (I recommend the mushroom broth if you decide to go). It's also worth noting that they no longer offer a predetermined variety box for ordering, which was disappointing. Overall, the poor service and experience did not make this worth a visit.

If the Hobbit's Shire had a hot pot place, this might be it. The portions and dishware were miniature in size. Overall, I think this is a solid hot pot place. The food was on par, not particularly fresh, but nothing terrible either. Not a place you wouldtake a date but a place you could gather with some friends.

This was my first visit here with my wife and a friend. I wish the waitstaff had been more helpful in guiding us on how to enhance our dishes or providing instructions. We ended up doing a lot of experimenting with the sauces and soups. The sauce station was quite crowded, and the restaurant itself was very busy around 7 PM. There seemed to be insufficient staff for the size of the place, so be ready to wait during peak hours. Overall, I would say it was a decent experience, but nothing particularly outstanding.

For the price this is a great hot pot spot. However, the menu of items you can put into your hot pot is pretty small. The sauce choices are good though! And service is mediocre but that?s expected for a restaurant that?s so busy.

Delicious! This was our first time trying hot pot, and we absolutely loved it! Just a tip: don’t order too much meat like we did, or you’ll end up feeling extremely full! The meat portions are quite large; one serving is enough for two people. Overall, it was a really fun experience, and we will definitely come back. The staff was friendly as well, and we didn’t have to wait long for our food.
