Cafe Lurcat Minneapolis

My family and I had a wonderful night at this restaurant. The sea bass was exceptional, as always. The steak tartare and gnocchi were also amazing.

The server gave great recommendations, the service was very polite, and the food was incredibly tasty.

The food had some fantastic aspects, while the rest was good. However, considering the price, which seems to be more for the location and ambiance, it fell a bit short. The server was very kind, but she appeared to be overwhelmed even though it wasn't very busy. There was a nearly 40-minute wait between the appetizer and the main course. The restaurant was quite noisy, almost like being in the middle of an airport on Christmas Eve. The people-watching, however, was fantastic. We chose this place for our anniversary, but we wish we had opted for somewhere with a more romantic atmosphere.

Wonderful to have found the "alley "open. Excellent server made many trips back and forth! For less relaxing, perhaps more fun (noisy and active), dine in the barroom.

Had the apple/cheese salad which was wonderfully refreshing and delicious. Went perfectly with the Sauvignon blanc we had with it. Had the Salmon as main course and it was delicious, cooked perfectly. There was a trio play which added to the ambiance. This has became my favorite special occasion place but quite frankly if I lived closer I would be a regular.
