El Agaveno Mexican Bistro - Minden

Wow! This place offers some of the best Mexican food I've had in a long time. I ordered their combination plate for $13.99, and the portion size was impressive. It came with a shredded beef chimichanga and a chile relleno, both of which were excellent. I ended up taking two-thirds of the meal home to enjoy later. The frozen margarita was tasty, but a bit small for eight dollars. I will definitely be returning the next time I'm in the area!

This has become our new favorite Mexican restaurant in Carson Valley! Carla is in charge of the front, providing outstanding service. The margaritas here are the best we've ever had, and the freshly made tortilla chips are exceptional—so good I didn’t want to drown them in salsa! All the reviews praising the delicious food are spot-on. I enjoyed the chicken enchiladas with green sauce, and they were fantastic! Plus, there's outdoor seating. I highly recommend this place! I've been here many times, and everything has been great. Carla is the epitome of personal kindness and efficiency, and we never have to wait for a table. If you haven't visited El Agaveno yet, you're truly missing out!

The food was incredibly flavorful. We enjoyed crispy shredded beef tacos, a cheese enchilada, a chimichanga, and French fries for the kids. I also loved that they offered Mexican cocoa. The prices were quite reasonable. The staff was friendly and understanding, especially with our very active toddler.

Super delicious, fine Mexican dishes. Made from what I can say. Our server was not excellent! She was beautiful, fast and accurate! The best. Will definitely be back for more ceviche and seafood dishes!
