Best GUMBO in LOUISIANA! Seriously, skip the expensive NOLA-Gumbo restaurants and think here for the best gumbo you ever have. Every time we go cross-country skiing, we take a detour, sometimes 60 miles away, just to get a few cups of this rubber! I would love if the cook there would share the recipe with me, so I could try to make it myself if I really enjoy it (no good gumbo in Massachusetts let me say ya! . It is DEFINITELY worth a stop, the sweet potato cake is also quite good.

Has delicious home cooked food. Also amazing cheesecake. I've got the sugar cane cake and the muffuletta sandwich with Kajunfries. My family has gum.

The people who work here are Super Courteous, Super Helpful, they have freshly cooked food, dining area, clean toilets, petrol/diesel fuels, and close to the Interstate, exit 47. Stop looking at your passing minds next time, La. You won't be disappointed!

This place is pretty busy at noon. The bread on the steak melt is excellent and the prices are fair. A nice lady brought the food to the table when it was ready.

Chicken gumbo is the best! Get a quart to take home.
