Contribuiți la feedbackI would highly recommend dining at this restaurant, but unfortunately we were informed that it will be closing after our visit. It seems there is a shortage of workers these days. The bar is apparently remaining open, but we will certainly miss the amazing food and service at Bonobo.
My first time dining at Bonobo was tonight. Their kids' room was a lifesaver! The food and service were excellent.
We loved going to Bonobo every Friday last year between May and October. We always sat outside and every time we ordered, we absolutely loved the perch dinner. Last night we tried the skate meal and it was good, but we're hoping the Friday perch dinner will make a comeback. Pretty please!
A charming bistro on Oakland Ave. we liked the ambience and our server was super nice. The food left something to be desired. The appetizer toast was burnt, not crisp but burnt. The jackfruit main course lacked flavor and to top it up the rice in the dish was cold and seemed a day old. The only food that we enjoyed was the swordfish and the skate. Overall an underwhelming experience not worth repeating.
Bonobo delivered a solid dining experience. Despite the restaurant being a bit short staffed (like most establishments right now), we enjoyed great service. Our waiter was attentive, upbeat and communicative about the status of our order, including giving us a heads up on when we might experience a delay. This kind of proactive communication was very appreciated. Our dishes were tasty and appropriately priced, while the atmosphere was casual and welcoming. Bonobo seems to be a great option for families as well, as we saw numerous parties of kids, parents and grandparents throughout the restaurant. We look forward to making a return visit!
