Mader's German - Milwaukee

Food is fine. Nothing too adventurous. If these basic dishes of pork and sauerkraut were $20-$25 instead of $40 and up, it would make more sense. Touristy experience. Go try it one time for yourself and decide.

Food was good. I liked the liver dumpling soup and the pork and kraut, but didn’t like potato dumpling. It was more expensive than I thought it would be. We sat at JFK’s table so that was cool.

It was underwhelming. Everything was just OK. The pictures make it look like a better place.

Friendly, attentive service with excellent food; what more can you ask for?

We have been to Mader's several times in the past and we love it. The service was slow and not as attentive as usual. The sausages on the Bavarian Platter were surprisingly bland, unlike before. The wienerschnitzel was dry, thin and not as tasty as before. The Butter Chicken was very good. I highly recommend the brussel sprouts appetizer.
