Our waitress was great when she was there, very knowledgeable about the menu and eating was great, but understaffed our experience and in sure we were not the only ones. we went there tonight, shared the fajitas and a pitcher...read more
I used to be a big fan of this place when they first opened, but no more. they have good eating and good drinks, but the service is terrible. likely because it is too busy for its own good. Moreover, their popularity seemed to refuel their greed. we went there to my mother's 50th birthday, and they wouldn't sing happy birthday without charging us 5 bucks to sing. when we ordered regular margaritas, they brought the premium version that is $4 more. it only seemed that they tried to add additional fees to each row. I will no longer go here or el fuego on the 9th and layton (same property rights).
Typical Mexican restaurant in wisconsin, but they have a secret weapon their dishes with arbol sauce. most Mexican restaurants in wisconsin shy away from spicy, but the arbol wings, and the arbol huhn, steak and garnel tacos are spicy (I have eaten a spirit chili when they wonder what is my spicy tolerance) and spectacular. her peanut cream spicy Arbol sauce is the best I ever had a study in the outland in mexiko.
Mmmmexican. pretty solid Mexican farewell. huge portions do not worry to get enough on the teller. chips and salsa are great, but the guacamole could do with about the half of the wobble. it can be loud, packed, and the mariachis can rock at the weekend, but this is not a bad thing.
Next Time I Will Get My Food to Go.... We were totally disappointed with El Besso...The food was good. Our waitress was good...But, the large, drunken, cursing and yelling group we were seated next to kinda ruined the whole evening for us. Oh yeah, did I mention that we were at El Besso with our young daughter Hey, I like to have a good time as much as the next guy. But in a public restaurant yelling as loudly as you can and cursing loudly simply isn't acceptable. And, if you manage a restaurant and do nothing to quiet folks down who are clearly out of control...you may want to rethink your line of work I also really felt sorry for our waitress. When I initially complained to her...read more
