Downtown Kitchen - Milwaukee

I'm so glad I finally see the Downtown Kitchen open again! I've been waiting a long time. And again with many faces that I saw broken in for lunch! Your peanut butter and jelly sandwich on banana bread is for dying! The staff is always so cheerful and friendly and the managers/kitchen are always so helpful!

Offers a variety of meal options, many made to order. Very close to many attractions in downtown Milwaukee. Great food!

Downtown Kitchen has a number of things that go for them: hip design, great selection of dishes to a variety of appetites, convenient location for the US Bank and 833 E Michigan staff / visitors. I chose the soup and salad bar and it was good... although the chicken soup was a small bland. The thing is... I found the prices on the high side, and I live / work in Chicago to say something. I no longer pay for better quality ingredients and the like, but I can't say that this equation applies in the case of Downtown Kitchen. My guess is that the higher prices are more to do with an imprisoned audience... there are few (no) alternatives nearby, and given the colder temptations lately, it would be unlikely that you would save a few dollars outside. Overall, not bad, and I will probably return, just a bit surprised by the prices.

Very nice clean quiet dining environment. I have tried and recommend the Burritos as they are made fresh before you and taste absolutely excellent. The portion size is also very generous.

Located inside US Bank building, good place for a quick lunch. Couple of different eating selections that change up their menu daily. Can become repetitive if you go their often. Great salad selections
