Botanas Ii Mexican - Milwaukee

We love Botanas II! The staff is very friendly and we enjoy our meals every time we go!

This is our go to restaurant. The food is delicious and very consistent, prices are appropriate for what you get, and service is always fast. Interesting bathroom decor though (iykyk) ?.

Great food and atmosphere. Service was good for our large parry.

Stopped in here for dinner. It was really busy but we were seated pretty quickly. Food was fine. I had the Al Pastor tacos. Beans rice were good. The chips and salsa were good. The guac was very dense and ok but not great. The service was friendly and attentive. We had a picky teen in our party and there was fish-fry and waffle fries for them. The real bummer was the margarita. We ordered the classics (1 Milagros 2 Jose Cuervo). They come in an odd glass (on the rocks only) with a salt rim and a long straw. If you use the straw you don’t get the salt but the shape of the glass makes drinking straight out of the glass not easy. But the real problem was that the drinks tasted like rubbing alcohol. No balance. Really unpleasant. Everyone who ordered the margarita felt the same way. In general the margarita menu was a tri-fold with the options kind of laid out and typeset in an unappealing and confusing way. Next time I’ll stick with a beer.
