The Fox Hole - Milton

We're so happy to have this place right around the corner from us! Everything we've tried has been delicious. Steaks are cooked to absolute perfection! We'll have a hard time going and not getting the clams and chorizo. SO GOOD. It's a good thing it comes with bread to get the amazing juice, otherwise I'd be tipping the bowl back! Can't wait to go back again.

They only take reservations via text. We texted. Never got a response so called. No answer, even tho it was during their operating hours. We drove 50 minutes and they claimed they never got the reservation even though we showed them the delivered text. Not even apologetic. Didn't give a damn. Don't bother, we certainly won't.

Wonderful spot! Staff very inviting, food outstanding, atmosphere quaint and funky! All good stuff. Well played, Fox Hole, well played!

My husband and I visited Milton with our 1 year old daughter on April 10, 2022. I really wanted to try the Foxhole and we popped into the restaurant at 9:30am. The restaurant was pretty empty and I asked the waitress behind the bar if she had a high chair for my daughter. The waitress immediately snapped “You’re going to need to wait and I highly recommend you make a reservation on Saturday and Sunday.” She didn’t even turn around to make eye contact with us just barked it with her back towards us. The restaurant was empty but I politely responded, “take your time, thank you”. She yelled for a gentleman from the back to get our high chair and he asked us where we would like to sit. I said “On the end table here would be great if we can so the baby is out of the way”. The waitress immediately yelled “you can’t sit there that is reserved!” Her energy was so negative and abrasive and so very uncalled for. We politely excused ourselves from the restaurant and went to eat somewhere else. I understand restaurants are short staffed and the staff feels a bit overwhelmed but she treated our small family of 3 very poorly from the instant we walked through the door. We were kind and polite and even acknowledged that if there was no room because of reservations we would leave. She was rude and unprofessional and we will not return.

Went to the Foxhole in Milton last night for my husbands 60th Birthday Everything was absolutely fabulous The food was amazing started with Tempura Vegetables cooked perfect my husband had scallops and pork belly I had chicken Milanese both dishes could not have been better!! The atmosphere was super friendly the service terrific and the owner stopped by to chat with us such a great lady even referred me to a good hairstylist which I’ve been searching for here in DE. The live music was just what we’ve been looking for, Al Frantic even wished my husband a happy Birthday and his playlist was right up our alley We will be going back real soonThank youMike and Sue Fitzgerald
