Wayback Burgers - Milpitas

Wayback Burgers is a halal establishment that serves burgers, hotdogs, shakes, and other chicken items. Unfortunately, the quality and service have declined since they first opened. During my recent visit on a Saturday, I noticed that there was only one employee working, causing them to struggle to fulfill orders on their own. It is puzzling why there would only be one person working on the weekend. I hope the owner takes note of this feedback. Additionally, I have consistently received hotdogs that are overly slathered in mustard and ketchup, which I have had to scrape off. I recommend the restaurant to maintain their standards in order to prevent customers from discontinuing their visits. Thank you.

We arrived here for an early dinner at 4:45pm on a Sunday because my child was very hungry. The restaurant is located next to Starbucks in a small complex behind the Chevron gas station. I didn't expect much from the food based on reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty it was. We ordered two Classic burgers and one order of french fries. There were two staff members working, and even though there were only a few customers, it took us about 15 minutes to receive our food. The Classic burgers were delicious - the buns were soft, the double patties were flavorful, and they were cooked perfectly. The french fries took an additional 10 minutes after we received the burgers, but they were hot, crispy, and pretty good (although nothing extraordinary). The staff offered a choice of dipping sauces, and I chose Ranch, which tasted okay but seemed store-bought. Maybe I was lucky that there were two people working, so the wait time wasn't too bad. The prices were reasonable, and I would definitely return if I were in the area and craving a burger.

The burger is tasty and I appreciate that it is a halal restaurant. However, the strong greasy odor in the establishment makes dining in unpleasant.

Good restaurant, meats was good and prices are reasonable. It's not sparkling clean, but comfortable dining. Overall good experience.

Classic double cheeseburger was great. Fries were bland. Person behind the counter was rude.
