Contribuiți la feedbackThis was the second time I've tried Chez Marcus, as I believe to give everyone a second chance after a first visit. Both times, I had a pizza marguerita as I believe that if you mess this simple pizza up, the other pizzas won't be any better. The one I had the first time looked like a supermarket frozen pizza. This time, the dough looked rather like the ones used for Flammküchle (alsation dish) or even for a quiche lorraine. I still might go back to sample their pasta or meat dishes but I wish they'd drop the word Pizzeria from their name.
We met some friends to celebrate a birthday. It's relatively easy to find, if you take the road diagonally opposite Le Halle in Milly's town square past the post office. As I mentioned in the subject, if the owner improved the service and the ambiance he'd probably have more patrons even though there are a few restaurants in this village. Sadly with so many great restaurants in Fontainebleau it's just as easy to drive the 15 mins to go to a good restaurant that's why I have given this restaurant an average rating.
Excellent food and service. If the owner recommends a wine for your meal, take his advice. Extremely good value
This restauraunt is absolutely wonderful, I would recommend it again and again! They are warm and welcoming, and provide gourmet food at a reasonable price. There's a wonderful chic atmosphere and they have absolutely no problem accommodating to English speaking guests!
This new restaurant is run by a delightful couple who are perfectly matched. The French chef would regularly shake the hands of his loyal customers, while his multi-lingual wife perfectly translated any customer requirements. One of our German Friends had complex diet requirements of *no* carbohydrates, gluten, nuts or milk products. Which they took into consideration and tailored his meal accordingly. We noticed many customers are not choosing the pizza! It would seem to me that their other menu options are the chef specialties. We can highly recommend the pink Cunard or the bleu Entrecôte. Recommend booking a tab or arrive early as it was packed on Saturday night.
