Taro - Millerton

My friend took me here when I said I wanted pizza. The surprise, as we walked up, was that we would start with salad! Waaaa? Salad appetizer at a pizza joint color me concerned! Well, the salad was, as we say in Joisey, tadiefor! Great crisp greens, lots of well grilled chicken, yummy dressing. Enough food for two. Can't wait for my next visit. The pizza was good too (but would have like a bit more crisp in the crust). Recommended. By the way, I discovered they have wine by the glass and beer.

Excellent, cranberry, blue cheese salad with grilled chicken over the top. I would give it 5 stars. 2 slices and a salad 5 star. Inside is not inviting, neither was the server/hostess who was sitting down with nothing to do. Still we did not feel welcome. We sat outside (maybe safer during covid times) She could not have cared less about us. Food: 5 star taste for a lunch Server: if you are working for tips, be more inviting and attentive.

Good pizza and some good other dishes taros pizza has been a millerton staple since I was a child it is a friendly laid back place to grab some slices and enjoy family time! Very good!

Pretty sure they scammed me. I called in an order on the way back from a long trip. It was clear on the phone that I didn't know the menu by heart, so I think the woman taking my order thought I was an easy target. I went in to get my order and the price seemed very high. I am local and like to support local businesses, so I didn't say anything and left a big tip. I had a weird feeling about it though because the woman who rung me up kept talking about how she wrote her prices down to ring me up and kept making a big deal about how much she was charging me. I looked up the prices after I left and definitely think she purposefully overcharged me. I love Millerton and love to support all of the shops in the area, but that just gave me a really bad taste in my mouth. So bummed out.

I recently visited Millerton, NY, to explore its Rail Trail, and after a biking session with my daughter, we found ourselves quite hungry. Due to COVID-19, they offered outdoor seating. The food was enjoyable, and I noticed a steady stream of customers coming in for takeout. This charming square block of Main Street includes a classic diner, an antique shop, a bookstore, an artisan café, and a tapas bar, all hinting at brighter times ahead. I plan to return at least once a week during the summer to continue discovering the trails.
