Charlotte-rose Carolina Bbq - Millcreek

I debated between 2 and 3 stars but the quality and taste of the meat led me to a 2 star rating. The brisket had a moist outside giving the impression it had been in a been in a brothy pot. After biting into the brisket, I was surprised to find it muchdrier than the outside would suggest. Sadly, the brisket in the chopped form had almost no bark, and thus no deep smoke flavors.It may have been better sliced. The pork was a similar story in terms of dryness except that there was no bark at all. Overall$24 is far too much for a two meat plate of this quality. The side of fries and the cornbread were enjoyable, but it wasn'tenough to carry the whole meal. Also, watch your undercarriage leaving the parking lot, it's easy to get high centered.

Meat was good, but not amazing. I didn?t think the brisket was worth the extra surcharge as it wasn?t super flavorful. The sausage and pulled pork were good! The cornbread was very tasty but the star was the chocolate cornbread! It was my favoritepart of the meal. I?m told they make it from box mix, which is fine but a bit disappointing when it was the best thing on themenu. Of the sauces I tried, the Carolina mustard was the best.

3.8 Stars, Better than average BBQ. Will come back to try other items to get the full experience. Ribs were pretty good, juicy but a little too cooked for my liking, I like a firm bite to the rib looking for that clean dry bone. Looked and tasted good.Sausage was pretty good. Chopped chicken was ok, little dry and no smoke flavor at all, think it may have just been grilled. Macand cheese was above average, the cornbread was moist and tasted great. Let me first say that I'm a foodie. I go out of my way to try foods all over Utah, and when I travel for work, I plan my hotels around highly rated restaurants I want to try. I've experienced a lot of food, especially a lot of BBQ (a personal fave , andthis place is TOP NOTCH. First impression treated like family. I love a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. I was in a rush, andthey took care of me quickly, but they didn't skimp on the 1:1 service. Several sauces to choose from, and I couldn't have beenhappier with the two I picked (Carolina Vinegar and Habanero Honey I believe . You don't often find truly unique BBQ flavorsthat are incredibly delicious, but this place has it. I'm picking up some bottles next time I'm there... which might betomorrow Oh, and I got the mashed potatoes, too, and they were also phenomenal. You can get good sides at a lot of BBQplaces, but I was excited to take each bite of this mash. I'm going to have to try their desserts next time, too. They offeredseveral that sounded awesome. Always a fan of a good banana pudding or peach cobbler, but I'm also interested in their chocolatecornbread (did I read that right?? .

We ordered 2 meat combo with 2 sides. Mac and cheese and sweet potatoes. Ordered a dessert but they were out. So we got an extra Mac and cheese. Not as god as you can make at home but alright. The brisket was moist which is great but skimpy on portion andthe ribs we pretty good. Probably won?t be back as my BBQ standards are pretty high and but for the area, it?ll do.
