This is a great place to stop by before or after a hike in Marin County. I have popped into this place numerous times when I lived in SF and am always pleased with their vegan and health/wellness offerings. I stopped by yesterday after a hike an had many options to choose from for lunch whether it be deli items, sandwiches, bakery, grocery. I loved the vegan truffle potato salad this time...though they have so many other vegan things to try too. They're loaded with kombucha options too.
Of the Bay Area grocery stores that aren’t 100% vegetarian, Good Earth feels like one of the most welcoming to vegans. They tend to be a bit on the pricier side, but the quality is good and I appreciate that they ensure everything is organic and au attention to trying to get more local sources. Produce is generally very good, and apples are one thing I find at better prices here than elsewhere (and they’re so so good! . I’m partial to the original Fairfax location, but this one has almost as much to offer. Be sure and stop by the baked goods section. There are many vegan goodies, all clearly marked, and lots of amazing vegan cakes, sold whole or by the slice (my personal favorite is the chocolate hazelnut . Lots of gluten free options too.
Yummy sandwich and at the sane time you can get some other snacks from the store. A deluxe version of a whole foods
Whole Foods could learn from this hot bar... Thank you for feeding this vegan!
