Went to the Starbucks inside Safeway. It was my grandson's 1st day of school and wanted to celebrate. The barista was such a pleasure! Wanted to make sure we had a good experience. Asked specific questions on info I forgot to add when putting in my order, rather than assuming, to make sure we got the right thing. He had his favorites, hot chocolate and cheese danish! There are 3 Starbucks within a block here. I'm so glad I chose the one I did. 5*experience!!
Don't like making things about race but I am now. I love how I come in and order my food, they tell me sandwiches are going to take a little while because they're backed up. Makes sense I can wait, but when the white people who come in and order after me get their drinks and food before me? Why is that? I don't want to think anything bad, but my mind goes straight to that. They didn't even have my name on my orders, they didn't call out anything I had to wait and check on my own to see if it was even ready. I understand being busy, I work in food and beverage too, but you can do better. I felt neglected and pushed aside. You'll probably read this and think nothing of it or that I'm exaggerating, but someone might feel the same as I did when I came inside.
