When the food finally arrived, the plates came out one after the other. The server brought burnt toast and the bacon was barely cooked. It was a disappointing experience, especially considering the lack of customers at the time.
My mother and I dined at this restaurant. It was not crowded at all, with only one other table in our section and two tables in the whole place. We placed our order and waited patiently. Unfortunately, after 40 minutes, our server informed us that they were out of one of the items we ordered. I was surprised that it took so long for them to realize this in such an empty restaurant. We decided to leave as they hadn't even started preparing our food. We were very disappointed with the service and will not be returning.
On Saturday morning, the restaurant didn't seem overly crowded, but we had to wait almost 5 minutes to be seated. Once seated, it took another 5 minutes for a server to greet us and offer us coffee. The server then took our order, but it took 30 minutes for our breakfast to arrive. I don't fault our server for the slow service, as he seemed to be trying his best and it appeared that they were understaffed at the time. More staff arrived at 10. The food was decent and reasonably priced for a typical breakfast, especially the buttermilk pancakes. Overall, it's what you would expect from IHOP.
A lively place led by youth, so not bad, but nothing special. the hot dogewurst on my 'smokehouse combo' were not quite hot in the inner, but unlike that ok. $3.29 for a tiny coffee is not just a good one. but convenient and fast, so served the purpose.
We ate breakfast here after a 22-hour drive from Iowa. The place was pretty dead, which surprised us. Our waitress was professional and pleasant. I dropped a star in the rating because the maple syrup had no real maple syrup in it (all corn syrup: yuck), and the strawberries on my crepes also had an artificial flavor in the glaze.
