Worst ever place of business.I read their shipping FAQs.Placed an order at 3pm for shipment the next day.Paid in full.Two days later they called to say they still had not shipped my order. When I got upset. Hung up on me and cancelled the order.Get your lobster from anywhere else!!!

I ordered 4 live lobsters to be delivered to my son and his family. 3 of the 4 arrived dead. I called the following day to report this. Well, they said I should have called immediately, and my daughter in law should have cooked the lobsters within a couple of hours! 1st of all, how do we know how long the lobsters were dead? And 2nd, my daughter in law has never cooked a lobster and her family, my son and grandchildren would not have been home for hours. I specifically chose a day when I knew they would be home for dinner and I paid $159.99 for four 1.25lb LIVE lobsters. They offered to give me a credit for the dead lobsters (excluding shipping), toward another order. So, they want me to pay for the shipping that was inadequate in the first place. Horrible service. I would NEVER order from this place again. The single star is for the lobster that was alive, and only because you have to give at least one.

This is the 4th time we have ordered from Dorr Lobster, to have live lobsters shipped to North Carolina for special occasions. This last experience Christmas Eve surprise lobsters for the fam in Raleigh NC, compelled me to provide a review. i have nothing but positive feedback to share about my experiences. The online ordering process is quick and straightforward. Lobsters arrived on time, alive and kicking. Fresh. Unbelievably delicious. You guys make it easy! Thank you! You better believe we will be ordering from Dorr again and again.

Read another review to call before coming. No one picked up both times we called so we decided to take the drive out. This was during supposed open hours but when we arrived there was no one anywhere around to greet us. Honestly a waste of time for them to even be listed. Reviews from others on this thread were not helpful due to the fact that they say you can buy lobster direct from here. Not clear on whether this is true yet. We ended up being very successful in all of our seafood needs at Chipman's Wharf. This is where you should go if you're looking for fresh lobster and seafood! The staff are also very kind/welcoming and helpful!!
