I had such a unique experience. Exquisite food, excellent presentation, dishes are beautifully decorated. I had the best steak and an outstanding service. It's all so relaxing and the quality of food is high. This dinner is one to remember, and well worth the splurge! You choose which cut you want and how you'd like the meat cooked, magically a grill set to the perfect temperature will transform it into a mouth-watering hunk of deliciousness!!
Beautiful place for special dinners in the center of Milan. It's not cheap, but it's all is so relaxing and the quality of food is high. I'll take good memories of this restaurant.
Website: The Nordic Grill website gives a menu, but does not provide the prices for each item, making it difficult to decide and compare across restaurants. (we paid approx 130 euros total for 2 people, following a 20% discount for booking online Starter: We had Degustazione di antipasti, which is a sharer with 4 starters. It included Black Angus Tartar (chewy and generally unseasoned , Roast Beef Carpaccio of deer (not roasted, not beef, unseasoned and generally flavourless venison accompanied by some sour fresh berries , Nordic Hamburger (smoked salmon in a potato-sandwich, no ham , and some smoked fish spread. All served on a slate on a side table; very difficult to transfer onto plates without dropping Main: aka the big disaster. We ordered the sharing t-bone steak, 1.4kg. Encouragingly, it was delivered on what looked like a hot plate, but it still went cold pretty quickly. When delivered it was boiled with fading grill marks on the outside, and cold on the inside, generally under-seasoned. It was served with some under-seasoned vegetables and raw-in-the-middle potatoes Wine: We mentioned to the waiter we prefer white, but he explained how red would be more appropriate for our meal. We took a risk and indeed he brought a half-bottle of a nice red. We enjoyed it. Service: Our waiter was polite and helpful. A different waiter had told us that they didn 't have a menu in English and he brought the hostess to confirm, as she did. Nobody offered to talk us through the Italian menu and they came to take our order withing a couple of minutes, not giving us time to properly consider everything using the Google Translate. The hostess seemed rather grumpy, as rushing around she pushed my chair and did not pause to apologise. Decor and atmosphere: Cheapest 'ikea ' kind furniture, flimsy chair, plain decor, interestingly including books in various languages (how about the menu in English instead? . I would not recommend it. Of the five meals we had in Milan during our visit, this was definitely the worst
I had the opportunity to have a Sunday brunch . One has the impression of entering a private home, dim lights and silence, a few tables. We were lucky and our table was in the most private room, excellent for our family reunion. The brunch has excellent buffet desks of cold cuts and cheeses, salads, grilled meats and desserts. We had a pleasant day, we will certainly come back
