J D's Pizza Grinders - Milan

According to their website, they’re open and delivering at 7:30 on a Thursday evening, but no one is answering the phone. Plus, placing an order online has been a total hassle!

I lived nearby for three years before finally trying this place. I ordered a Reuben grinder along with a popcorn dinner and hush puppies. I was told it would take about 25 minutes, but it was hot and ready when I arrived. The portion sizes were generous, and we were both very satisfied with our meals. Everything tasted excellent, and I would definitely order from them again without hesitation. The only downside is that the online prices were about $4 higher than what I was charged in-store.

I waited 2.5 hours for my pizza to be delivered, and the driver took nearly an hour to arrive. By the time we finally got our food, it was barely warm. The pizza itself was delicious, but the service was incredibly poor. When I called to inquire about the delay, I was informed that the owner was unavailable and that they were overwhelmed with orders, operating with just one driver.

Have ordered many pizzas from them, and the pizza is pretty good. as always the delivery is a completely different situation. two of the last three deliveries took two hours to come to me. both painting pizza came lukewarm. Cheese was completely furnished nothing warm and stringy about it. the first time that it happened, I was told 45 minutes to an hour for delivery, which lasted 2 hours and 5 minutes only to keep from the delivery car. second time it was free pizza for the previous order that arrived within an hour. tonight, give up an order and tells about 1 hour plus, then two hours and 12 minutes to deliver me a lukewarm pizza, and again the hire of the trolley. I called and asked to speak to the owner and said he would call me back directly and I did not hear of him. this pizzeria was formerly located at carpenter and michigan avenue and began with the great and then slowly running the time the quality of pizzas and service went downhill until the place closed. sad I fear the same scenario will happen again. I strongly advise them if they want to buy food from them that they pick it up delivery is just not worth the wait or the annoying only to get lukewarm when it finally arrives.

Pizza ? is really good but a little unreliable as far as time it takes to make.
