This restaurant Is one of the best Italian I have visited. the meals were fantastic from starters to deserts. monica and her husband were very helpful nothing was to much trouble food was tasty and always hot would go back next time we go to...mijas used it 4 nights out of 7

As the name suggests, the owner, Monica, is from Sardinia. This is a family-run restaurant with charming and warm service, set in a peaceful courtyard just a short walk away from the beach. The menu offers a nuanced assortment of Italian cuisine proudly showcasing its...Sardinia roots. The careful attention to detail is delightful and impressive. The daily specials are always interesting. We stayed in a villa just up the street for ten days and we had three excellent meals there. You won't be disappointed.

We have stopped in this opposite mostly Spanish restaurants, but a few years ago migrated to monica, just for a change. had a great eating and promised that we would go back there. in this winter we visited in the tat monicas a series of times and found it as expected to be excellent each time. the restaurant itself is comfortable and monica itself is an entertaining host and offers a fast and professional service (as it is winter, the restaurant is really a two-person operation.) the wine list is also well selected and cheap, and we found the menu to be varied for us. I should point out that I cannot come to the pasta we have never tried. Instead we have worked our way through the appetizers and salads as well as calves and fish dishes. there was no wrong step among them. I found the kalb to be a special pleasure, after hard and tasteless versions in other Italian places here. in our experience, always a great meal and some pleasant entertainment! highly recommended.

We have just spent a few days in cala de mijas, as always had a few meal in monica di sardinien. three nights from our 7 were spent in this restaurant because eating is simply wonderful. it is the only authentic Italian restaurant in this area that cooks everything from ground on. the pasta is amazing! our party was 10 people we received was exceptional! recommend this restaurant!
