Northwest Reno Mexican Restaurant Tour. First time here. Ordered the Flautas. Food was warm when I arrived. Cashier was prompt and quick at handling my order. The store was clean and all the employees looked to be staying busy, but it wasn't too packed in the store (just a few customers). The Flautas were good. They were basic. There wasn't anything in the seasoning or the ingredients that stuck out, but as Flautas they were tasty. Sometimes food doesn't need to be dolled up to be good, and Tacos El Rey does it well. The food looks fine and tastes fine.

Best street tacos I've ever had but my favorite dish is the shrimp fajitas.

The service is always friendly and the restaurant is always clean! I recommend the a la carte burrito with chorizo, shrimp tacos, and fish tacos! The chorizo is so flavorful and packed with authentic Mexican seasoning and the tacos are topped off with a delicious chipotle crèma.
