Subway - Midlothian

The lettuce was wilted and turned brown, as if it hadn't been kept properly chilled. The sandwiches were made with white bread, which seems poorly planned for both the staff and management. I would recommend going to a different Subway.

It’s rare to find so many young people working in a place like this. I wish there were more establishments with a similar vibe.

This location has opening hours from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Last night, I arrived at 9:37 PM, and as I approached, I noticed a man taking down the "open" sign. Just before I reached the door, he turned off the lights, even though it was still within business hours. When I got to the door, he had already locked it. I knocked, and he gestured that he was not letting me in. Then he eventually came to the door and said yes. I explained that their posted hours extended until 10:00 PM, but he apologized and mentioned that the chef had decided to close early because it was dark outside. While I understand that it gets dark at night, this seemed like nothing more than laziness. As a business, they should fulfill their responsibilities until the end of their operating hours rather than leaving twenty minutes early just because they are tired.

I had an amazing experience at Subway! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, and they spread the toppings on my sub perfectly. I would rate it a solid 10 out of 10!

The young man working tonight went above and beyond by staying at least 30 minutes after closing time to serve around 7 or 8 customers. He was incredibly kind. Thank you so much!
