Pie Wood Fired Pizza Joint - Midland

I used to love Pie and to find one still open made me so excited. I brought my daughter last night. The dinning area was very dark and shadowed. The service was good but very timid (I think he was training/new) he didn't tell me about the offer for Saturdays where kids eat free. I didn't find out until after we had ordered/eaten. The food was bland and tough. The salty balls used have SO much flavor. The ones I was served we small,dry, the bacon was small bits meant for salad. Not anything like previous meals. The pizza was okay, but really no flavour. Just not the same as it once was

Service from Brett was outstanding. It was a busy night, short staffed and she gave us amazing service and never once showed any signs of frustration. Food came out hot and as ordered. Had some issues with the beer but not her fault and she made everything right. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Thanks Brett for a great evening.

Small medium pizza over $25??? Not even close to getting the value for your money. Don't know how they justify this price with cheese and topping skimping. What is mistake!

From when we walked into the restaurant, we should have trusted our gut feeling and left.Being the only guests there, we thought our service and food would be great but everything was very disappointing. We waited initially for a few moments at the front door while the waitresses chatted at the bar in the back. Then our waitress greeted us and walked us to our table but left quickly and for long enough that we had to ask another waitress nearby if we were supposed to order our drinks at the bar instead. When our waitress arrived back at the table (a few minutes after that , we ordered a cocktail and beer. We waited again for our drinks and when my husband received his beer, noticed something was off and that it wasn’t what he ordered. When he tried to confirm his order with the waitress, she insisted it was right (it wasn’t, this guy knows his beer . She didn’t offer to get a new one so he didn’t drink it.We ordered our food at the same time as our drinks 2 pizza’s cooked well done with no corn meal.Our food was brought out at a decent time, but again not what we asked for. We tried to confirm again that the pizza was specifically made without cornmeal, and the waitress stated it isn’t cornmeal it’s “actually something else that starts with a k” (maybe it was mistaken with “kornmeal”? . I think it should have been something that was brought to our attention before the food was even made but anyways…She offered for it to be remade which was nice but at that point we just wanted to just eat our food and go.We had only had a few slices, another drink and asked for the bill. Again… we waited. Thankfully, we found a pizza box near our seat so we didn’t have to wait even more and could pack up the remainder of our pizza to go once we paid.Our waitress came with the bill and machine but didn’t even bother to ask us how everything was probably because she knew we would never return.I just wanted to share our experience as a warning for others to save their time and money from visiting this restaurant. :
