Hand Cafe - Midland

Today I went to one of the better coffee places in Midland again. The Hand Cafe. I don’t live super far away so this is a semi-regular spot for me. I guess it’s bad on me for just now getting around to reviewing it! The coffee and food is first class. I enjoy the crepes and bagels there. The Hand has a nice little assortment on the menu that should enable everyone to find something they like. I enjoy the Hand for the atmosphere mostly. I am not sure you will find a better atmosphere for relaxing and focusing on a book or work on your laptop, than at this cafe. The staff is super doooper friendly. And they gave me a free t-shirt today which was really unexpected and cool. I really dig their message of peace and happiness that comes across with their decor and staff personalities. Try them out! They have a giant slide too… which I’ve never actually seen anyone slide down. Edit- went in yesterday and the food is still amazing!!

I was told this place had some delicious treats and we were not disappointed! We tried the blueberry scone, churro donut, and the turtle brownie. Wow, so sweet and so good! I also ordered the gyro with hummus and I will definitely order that again. Next time I hope to try their coffee and perhaps a crepe. Great variety of food. Definitely high on my list of excellent cafes in Midland.

Great little cafe with delicious coffee, sandwiches and crepes. Staff was friendly and welcoming. My kids loved the slide. I ordered their breakfast sandwich and a caramel macchiato and kids had sandwiches and crepes off kids menu. We will be back!

Why did I wait so long to try this place?! The staff was extremely friendly. The cold brew was DELICIOUS—far from the watery and bitter options you find at other places. I also ordered a kids' turkey and Swiss sandwich, which my kids probably wouldn't touch, but I really enjoyed it! I can't wait to return with my kids soon; there's a slide from upstairs to downstairs, along with a small play area for them.

The salmon bagel was fantastic—high-quality food at a great price. I only wish they offered larger coffee sizes. The dining area could use a bit more cleaning. However, there is a slide for kids, which was a lifesaver!
