Fountainville Creamery Soda Fountain

This restaurant is perfect if you’re looking to get overcharged. I ordered a 24oz malt and was billed for it, as the receipt indicated. However, the malt was served in a cup that was obviously labeled 16oz. It’s not difficult to do the math here.

We traveled all the way from Austin, Texas, just to try the Black Gold ice cream we saw featured on the Texas Bucket List show, but they were out of it! On a Saturday, no less... We were so disappointed. Instead, we had to settle for the Buttered Pecan. If they had the Black Gold, I would have given a 5-star review. Who runs out of ice cream on a Saturday?!

I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant with my boyfriend, but unfortunately, it didn't meet our expectations. The staff who assisted us didn't wear gloves, and I could even see their underwear. They also overcharged us, which was frustrating. It felt like they would have preferred to be anywhere else but there. The "dipped" cones were simply chocolate sauce poured into the cone, causing it to fall apart. Additionally, the cups were reminiscent of the ones used for hotdogs at a baseball game. Considering the numerous 5-star reviews, we were really disappointed.

One of the best places to get homemade ice cream and soda pop! They let taste test every unique flavors they have there and their employees know how to top them off with excellent choices of topping to make them taste exquisite! So good that I had to bring the family down for them to try it out themselves! They enjoyed it!

What a delicious treat that Fountainville Creamy makes. My girls and I tried their famous Black Gold ice cream in a sample bite and we all decided to get a custom waffle cone. My husband decided on a strawberry banana Shake. My oldest got a scoop of Hummingbird ice cream it was a lavender color with black gold ice cream. My youngest got a scoop of cookie monster and chocolate ice cream. I got chocolate and black gold. All were delicious and we all had to try each other's ice cream. Luna our service dog even got a pup cup which is just a kids mini cup with whipped cream. If you are in Midland you should check this place out, it is a bit pricy but worth it.
