Cockburn's Tea Rooms Confectioners

I discovered this little gem of a restaurant in March 2016 while spending the day with my elderly mother. I mention this because it takes us 2 hours and 30 minutes and three buses to reach Midhurst, so it must be something truly special for us to return again, which we did just yesterday. Cockburn's Tea Rooms is absolutely delightful and undoubtedly boasts polite and dedicated staff who are both cheerful and happy. The tea is served in a charming old-fashioned style, accompanied by a delicious variety of cakes. They offer superb sandwiches, tasty lunch bites, and a wonderful afternoon tea for which they are famous (although reservations are necessary). There is much more on the menu that we plan to explore in the coming month. This spot is a must-visit if you are in the area; it’s definitely worth the effort to get there!

This is a wonderful place with friendly staff and delicious food. It's a lovely spot to enjoy coffee, tea, or lunch.

Beautiful traditional tea room with great food, beautiful decor and friendly staff. when my wife told them that it was my birthday, they produced a piece of cake with an illuminated candle on the house!

We had a superb afternoon tea here. Lovely staff, charming setting and delicious food. Can't wait to go back!
