Recent beginner into home coffee roasting with a FreshStart model and Burman was my second coffee importer that I tried. Their Brazil Mogiana Guaxupé is a wonderful chocolatey cup that can be used as a base for a blend. But their Ethiopian Guji Org. Natural Gr. 1 Kayon Mountain Shakiso was out of this world. Everyone I gave a taste to loved it. Will continue with Burman. I loved their QR codes on the bags and when i had a shipping issue their owner kindly refunded me some money. Love this business and will continue to get my beans from them!

Like others, I was looking for an alternative to Sweet Maria's because the costs have gone up. I thought all green beans would be more or less the same. I got a variety of 10 pounds of beans from Burman and so far I have roasted 3 pounds. For some reason, all 3 have tasted almost exactly the same, and they lack any kind of interesting distinct flavors like I was used to. I'll roast a few more pounds, and also re-order from Sweet Maria's, so that I can make a better comparison. But I don't recommend doing what I did, ordering a lot on the assumption that all green beans were the same.

You can't beat Burman's prompt service and meticulous, genuine customer care. I got no less than two phone calls from the CEO on a very small order; he just wanted to make sure that I got exactly what I needed. Gives good advice on coffee roasting, grinding, choosing beans, and many other aspects of this essential commodity! ?

Great prices and excellent quality make this the place to buy green coffee beans. Like many others I used to buy beans from Sweet Maria's, but I find Burman to have similar quality and selection with better bean traceability, easier to navigate website, and cheaper, faster shipping. Really just the best all around place to buy green coffee from. As you read about the coffee on their site, it is obvious that it is a smaller family run organization that really connects to the places and farms they buy their coffee from.
