The Wonky Carrot - Middlesbrough

The food was absolutely amazing! I opted for the high breakfast because I wanted to sample a variety of dishes, especially at a place I hadn’t visited before. As someone with celiac disease, I never thought I would enjoy a real baguette again, but they truly nailed it—it was to die for! The Greek yogurt with fruit was a refreshing addition that paired perfectly with my sandwich. And then there were the pancakes. They were simply incredible! I had the option of vanilla or chocolate chip, and the young man who served us clearly knew I would choose the chocolate chip—it was a no-brainer! I also tried the earthy flavor, which was a lovely, refreshing choice. The whipped cream on top was the perfect finishing touch. It was also nice to see the young lady in the kitchen checking on our food; it added a personal touch to the experience. Even if you don’t have gluten sensitivities, you must try this place! I will definitely be returning and sharing my fantastic experience with friends and family. Thank you!

We had dinner here on a Sunday just before Christmas in 2019, and it was truly excellent. The food was not only delicious but also thoughtfully prepared. There is a fantastic selection of gluten-free options available, including Sunday meals, as well as numerous delightful desserts to choose from. I've returned since then to purchase gluten-free cakes for a birthday, and they were all beautiful. We will definitely come back whenever we're nearby. The staff were charming, and they went above and beyond to accommodate our party's dietary restrictions and allergies.

This is an incredible place for gluten-free dining! The high breakfast for two and the pancakes were both delicious! The breakfast sandwiches were all meat, but they were very accommodating and quickly modified one when I mentioned that I’m a vegetarian.

What a little gem. the wonky carrot. if you eat gluten-free or simply simply a full English type of person. then this is the place for them. I am not a gluten intolerance, but I tell them one for nothing, give it off, I forgive them to say the difference. the tassenkuchen are absolutely the best I had. I also tried a vegan cupcake, it was amazing. Friday and Saturday evening, cocktails, beer, wee, prosecco rise and give it a try. they will not be disappointed.

First visit and i was pleasantly surprised the food was amazing. Service was quick and the staff where lovely and very helpful. It was decorated for Halloween which my 5yr old loved. Will definitely be a regular visitor here.
