New China Buffet King - Middlesbrough

The food at this restaurant is pretty good. I have tried both the Banana Leaf and New China Buffet King, and I have to say that this restaurant beats the Banana Leaf. While it may be slightly more expensive (we're talking about a pound or so), the food is definitely worth it. The hours are more convenient as well, not limiting you to a 2-hour stay like the Banana Leaf. If you have a big appetite and plenty of time to spare, I would recommend this place. The food is always fresh and the menu constantly changes. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The only downside is that you have to pay before sitting down, which is a bit different from other buffet restaurants I have been to, but understandable. Overall, I would give it a 4.5 out of 5 or a 4.6 out of 5. It's definitely worth the money for the amount and quality of food you get. Highly recommended!

We were the only couple in the restaurant at 1.30pm, with one more table coming in as we were leaving. The buffet was nicely presented with an excellent salad choice and high-quality ingredients. There was a variety of main dishes to choose from and a good selection of desserts, including plenty of fresh fruit. My wife was pleasantly surprised when she requested an omelette and it was made for her within 5 minutes, with what seemed like a generous 4-egg portion at no extra charge. The lunchtime price was £8.50 per person, and we were highly impressed with the overall experience.

Terrible, had to pay before going and the old good didn't get taken out, they put the new food on top of the old food. The food was disgusting and horrible, the staff were rude. Never again.

I have been to this restaurant about five times and it is fantastic. The food is excellent with a good variety to choose from, and all the staff are friendly and helpful.

The food on this visit was terrible. The chips were dry. The curry was tasteless and watery. There was a bad greasy after taste. Oh and the chips were tasteless. The noodle's were also tasteless. When I made the observation to a member of staff he asked if I would tell the cook chef. This cook chef would not talk to me. This experience has put us off coming back. We have been visiting eating there quite often.
