Best Thai Kitchen - Middleburg

My experience at this restaurant on October 28th for lunch was disappointing. The customer service was very poor. It felt like they did not feel the need to provide good service because we were a party of 8+ people and they expected a tip regardless. Despite asking multiple times, we had to request extra plates and water, which were still not provided promptly. Additionally, our sushi order was forgotten and attempted to be added to our bill. The dishes were quite expensive, and we were not informed about the additional charge for adding chicken ($4 extra for chicken) which is typically not the case in other Thai restaurants I have visited. The food itself was tasty and the portions were adequate for one person. However, based on the poor service and lack of transparency, I do not plan on returning to this establishment and would not recommend it to others.

Seems I'm the odd duck, here but I stand by my review. After hiking Sky Meadows we decided to try Best Thai Kitchen. There was one employee working all tables. She was attentive as she could be however, she needed some help. We asked for a starter of fish cakes, to find out they don't have any. So we ordered one Tom Ka and a scallops starter. Tom ka had items in it that we couldn't chew through. Even my friend took food out of her mouth and she's from Philippines. This is her food. (as she likes to tell me : it tatested too acidic and just couldn't chew ingredients. Even the shrimp had the same flavor. Personally, I didn't care for it. The scallops, purposely raw with chopped squid and what looked like roe on top looked amazing, and served in a large, real scallop shell. The scallops had a gritty bite. I didn't like them. I ate one. So sad. They looked great. The green curry came in a very large bowl. It was delicious! Lots of green beans, bell peppers, bamboo shoots and chicken. Spice level was medium which perfect for me! Drank two glasses of water trying to finish the curry. Came with white rice. Speaking of the two glasses of water; the server, made to tend to the whole house and outside seating, took a long time to get our second water. Our lips and throat were on fire. In a good way, but please bring our water. Other notes: The menu I had could have used a wipe down. The same for the windows. Very dirty. I would eat here again, when in the area. No problem trying again, something different.

Terrible service. Inattentive and grumpy staff. Got food poisoning from the sushi. No effort made to clean between dishes.
