Houghton Cafe - MIDDLE SWAN

All the food was amazing. We had beef which was perfect...... pork was crispy and delicious. Chicken so yummy. We really enjoyed the new menu. They need to improve a little bit the speed of service but was ok. The staff very kind.

Just had a small flat white coffee. There was more foam than on any cappuccino or late that i have ever had

We went to this Cafe as we heard it had changed hands. We decided to order two small entres. I had the Cuttlefish​ and my husband the deep-fried Camembert. My cuttlefish was delicious. I did ask the waitress her recommendation and that was it. My husband also enjoyed the Camembert. We noticed they don't do platters anymore, as we often go to Houghton's for family birthdays and like to order platters,and plates of chips, and pizzas. Hence my daughter chose not to go there because of that. Maybe you should review part of your menu as I have heard this from a few people, and you could be loosing business. I would go back as I did enjoy my meal. The staff were also very helpful and friendly.

We dined here with friends on Saturday as a birthday celebration. We did a wine tasting at the Cellar Door before purchasing a bottle of Pino Grigio for lunch. We had the duck liver pate with sour dough to start and then I enjoyed the chicken and my husband the pork. Everything was excellent, beautifully presented and delivered to the table hot. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Houghton's and will definitely return in the future.

My husband and I decided to visit. We had not been here for a couple of years. They did not have the platters that we enjoyed so much but decided to have a few different items. We had the pate which was delicious, the fried cheese square which was really good. The bacon wrap churros were different but tasty. The donuts however were raw so we left those behind. Service was nice and it was a lovely lunch.
