Shorty's -b-q 40th - Miami

We've been coming to this restaurant for 30 years, and unfortunately, our recent experience was quite disappointing. I would rate the service a 1 out of 10—it was very poor! We weren't offered any water, and there were no refills for our iced tea. Our appetizer plates were left on the table, taking up space. The chicken we received was a bit undercooked, and the beans were watered down. On a positive note, the atmosphere was nice.

I really enjoy coming here for a relaxed date night. My husband is a huge fan of the burgers. I could go on and on about their chicken dishes. The staff is fantastic—they truly go above and beyond to ensure everything is perfect and to create a great experience. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy and feels like home. The food is amazing every single time. And for my fellow Latinos, the flan is absolutely delicious—it’s to die for!

If you're a rib enthusiast in Miami, this restaurant is a must-visit! I enjoyed the baby ribs combo, which was incredibly affordable and included BBQ ribs, corn on the cob, French fries, cornbread, and coleslaw. Each dish was packed with flavor, and I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

This restaurant offers good American-style BBQ. While I wouldn't call it the best I've had since some dishes are a bit bland, I do recommend the burgers, corn, and baked beans. The ribs were just okay and a bit tough to chew. They serve beer, wine, and now margaritas. The prices are reasonable. It's a nice place to visit for American barbecue every now and then.
