Rolls were not spicy which was disappointing so I ordered the spicy ramen. Spicy not spicy. Over all it was a 1.5/5 for me. I was very disappointed with the bartender. She seemed annoyed from the time we sat down. At points it seemed we were being ignored. Overall 1.5/5 stars. One and done for me.
Woooow this place blew me away!!! We were immediately greeted and brought to our table. Our server was very attentive. Now the food...Both the chicken and tonkotsu ramen were full of flavor. The sushi was a delicious mouthful. There's more than enough seating here for parties varying in sizes. This spot is a MUST for ramen when you find yourself in Wynwood.
Welp, I fell for the hype. Reading all the reviews, you would think Momosan is THE spot for Ramen. I suspected something immediately when I noticed the place was empty on a Friday night. Inside is spacious and decently decorated. We started with the Karaage...bland, boring, very little flavor. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen with extra pork and ajitama. This has never happened to me before, but the broth tasted very fatty. It didn 't taste like a broth, it tasted like the lechon juice at the bottom of a caja china. The ajitama was ok, the pork wasn 't sliced like you see in normal ramen...it was like strips of bacon. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. Like Public Enemy said: don 't believe the hype.
Walking in around noon and was instantly seated. The room was empty with one party besides ourselves but great music made up for it. Jean was an amazing serve as he was prompt with our orders. We started with a lychee martini their sake followed by popcorn shrimp and spicy wontons. We also opted for the ramen and spicy tuna roll. Everything was delicious we cannot wait to return.
All that hype, doesn't live up to it. The food we ordered came in installments and took F-O-R-E-V-E-R.. We almost spent $200 (me, hubby and toddler) pre-tip, and we notice they already include an 18% gratuity. Really not worth it.
