Contribuiți la feedbackI don?t see why this restaurant has two Michelin stars. There?s nothing wrong with the place but the quality just isn?t there, I?m sorry to say. The food was nothing special, the cutlery had seen better days, the service was just average. It?s just a regular average restaurant. I usually don?t write below 5* reviews but since this place is supposed to be a special experience maybe this review will help someone to choose a right place for their special occasion. The nonalcoholic cocktail was great, tho. And the staff serving us was very friendly.
Talk about a great experience at L?ATELIER de Joel Robuchon! The only (2022) 2 Star Michelin restaurant currently in Florida with a 1 star Michelin downstairs! Great, fresh and delicious food that speaks for itself! A very keen service staff that knew how to pair certain drinks with certain courses of course! From start to finish, we felt relaxed to be there and enjoyed every bit. We opted for their Summer Menu, that comprised of 5 fabulous dishes! That night they didn?thave Colorado Lamb so they served the best duck breast dish instead! Quite glad the lamb wasn?t even on. We?re already talking about coming back to try their restaurant below as they?re more forward focus on seasonal vegetables with otherpairings!
I was in the mood to treat myself after a long day of business travel and decided to make a reservation for the counter at L'Atelier. They had various tasting menus available, but I ultimately went with the Chef's Tasting Menu, which was $155/person for 5 courses, including dessert (this did not include any drinks .The standout star of the meal was definitely Le Risotto, a saffron risotto with razor clams cooked with chorizo. This was hands down one of the most delicious things I've ever tasted the saffron risotto exceeded all expectations and there was an unexpected crunch that the razor clams and the chorizo added to the dish, which made it supreme. Everything else was delicious, but the foie gras was so rich and decadent truly a treat!Service was first class, sitting at the counter is always fun (you get to meet some fun people! , and the ambience still had the elegance of an upscale New York restaurant, but the energy was Miami all the way.
I went here quite a while ago, but this dinner is still in my mind. Everything about this restaurant, each detail, was meticulously crafted in the style of fine dining.
Wine and service were excellent. We have been a number of times and were underwhelmed with the new fall menu. The quality was consistent but some of the items seemed to have little interesting preparation and did not care for the menu options for the fall menu.
