La Ceniza - Miami

Wort experience ever. Went there for New Year's Eve. I was around 1 am when I got there the place was full the music was good. The server was rude and kept changing the prices of the bottle it was an old Colombian lady she was very unprofessional. First she said bottle $196 I said ok bring it. They bring the bottle then she comes with a hand written receipt that says $226 I said fine I'll pay it was there I just wanted to have a good time. I hand her my card she then comes back and charged my card $250. I said what happened she said the $226 was only if I paid cash that it was more with a card. Like what ok whatever. I just took my card and wax just trying to enjoy my night out. I I ordered a hookah for $50 that I paid cash and they never brought it to me. 10 minutes later the Dj tells everyone to evacuate that the police are outside and they had to close. The music stopped. Now I'm really upset because I just spent $250 on a bottle and they are kicking me out. I complained and the gave me a black paper bag and told me to take the bottle to go. I coupled bought that bottle at the liquor store for $50. All the security guys are kicking everyone out and Laughing saying they about to go party that the have a life too. I got outside there was no police outside they were lying and I guess they were clouding early to go hangout. My whole thing is why let us in and buy a bottle to then kick me out. I was there for about half hour max. My Uber was $50 to and from there. They ruined my new years I had friend visiting and I'm so mad I went there. What a waste of time. The audacity of them selling you stuff to then kick you out. DO NOT GO to this horrible establishment.

There was an excessive amount of smoke in the restaurant. It's a Nicaraguan establishment, not Dominican. If you want to secure a table, you must purchase two buckets of beer.

Terrible experience at this restaurant. They mistakenly charged me twice for a $300 bill (totaling $600) and claimed my card didn't have enough funds, forcing me to pay in cash. When I attempted to get my money back, they became frustrated with me.

This restaurant is a hidden gem! The food and natural drinks are incredibly delicious. The staff is friendly and welcoming as well. I will definitely be returning. The tostones are as fresh as they can be!
