Contribuiți la feedbackWhen I first arrived in the United States, I was afraid that I would only eat junk food, but that was not the case. Luckily, I found La Carreta. During our twelve days in Miami, my father and I went to eat there several times. It is undeniable that Miami is like Cuba, and that is also reflected in its cuisine. Our first visit was to the La Carreta on Bird RD (40th Street with 86th Avenue) after our trip from the Canary Islands, Madrid, and finally to Miami, which was a godsend. The sandwiches, the shakes, so delicious... After a day of airports, that croissant and cortado were amazing. The coffee is one of the strengths of La Carreta, as I am a lover of Cuban coffee. We went for lunch a couple of days and left stuffed for only $15 with a drink and tip. One thing that surprised me is that when you order a dish, they bring you ONE DISH (a big dish and two dessert plates with the two sides like yuca, french fries, etc.). They also offer delivery service. Unfortunately, I do not have photos, but I truly recommend it.
When I was in Miami, one of my favorite places was this one. A Cuban friend showed it to me and I always let him guide me on what to order to eat, and my experience every time was 100% positive, so much so that my friends and I went back a couple of times on our own. In my opinion, the best thing is the Cuban midnight sandwich that drove me crazy!! If you are in Miami, I highly recommend going.
What they prepare is a delight. I recommend the grilled sirloin steak and the fried ripe plantain, it's the best. The orange juice is also delicious.
When I first arrived in the United States, I was afraid that I would only be eating junk food, but fortunately I found the food cart. In our twelve days in Miami, my father and I went there so many times to eat. It is undeniable that Miami is like Cuba and therefore you could say that gastronomically too. Our first visit was to the Pájaro Rd Reel (Pier 40 with 86th Avenue) after coming back from our trip. After a day of airports, that half moon and cutter that good thing coffee is one of the strengths of the food cart. I am a lover of Cuban coffee so after that we went a couple of days for lunch and we ended up eating for $15 with a drink and tip. One thing that surprised me is that when you order a dish, they bring you a plate (a gentleman's plate) and two dessert plates with the two servings.
