Dukunoo Jamaican Kitchen - Miami

No place for entertainment and dinner. Eating was excellent. the ambiente was beautiful. but music is too loud. only a place to celebrate.

I went with the family and we had an amazing experience. I booked reservations, but we were too late because of the rain. they still tell us what was unexpected. many people waited. they have a live DJ game music and an extension for outside seats. fairly large bar right next to the dj. we have jerk corn, ochsen, mac and cheese along with a whole jerk huh. everything was amazing, although the mac and the cheese were dry. but if they add some gravity, they will make sure it is dry. Drinks saw and tasted amazing, but on the sweet side. I will definitely come back because I'm in the art district, so after they eat, they can walk around and see all the new artworks.

Really cooler place in wynwood. will definitely advise them in advance when they come with a large group to know about reservations or waiting time. my friends made the mistake not to call so that I was told about the security at the door, it can wait an hour (the place is packed), but the security was really helpful so it worked for us at the end. vibes were amazing! dj and the music were on the spot the 3 hours we were there and while we were waiting outside. even the customers were great. everyone danced and had a good time. Eating is amazing! inexpensive, but worth it as food proportions are big. drink super amazing. only the problem; our waiter seemed to have been overworked so that problems came up with our order and the manager was not the kindest to help with the problem. but I would still go back and recommend.

We saw this restaurant on channel 7 and were thrilled until the food came. we ordered this $65 meal. as you can see, is it burned 200%? . first impression. that's all.

Was surprised to read all the positive reviews, yet see a 3.9 star rating. After having visited, I get it.Food was generally quite good, the jerk pork was really excellent and quite authentic, good spice level on the sauce. Was so happy to taste these flavors again after having visited Jamaica many years ago. Jerk chicken was decent as well although it could have been warmer and less dry.Service was friendly but extremely slow. If you eat here bring a lot of time and patience. Every step of the service process takes ages, no matter it's getting the menu, placing the order, receiving your order to getting the bill or getting your card back. Ordering a second beer alone took a good half hour from the first attempt to order until actually holding it in my hand. I literally hunted down the staff to get my credit card back. The place was busy but it appeared there should have been enough staff on the floor for service to be more efficient.We spent a total of 2.5 hours in this place for a simple one course dinner with one extra beer to cool off after the spicy food (which arrived long after the spice had receded). Would not generally be an issue, were the music not so unnecessarily loud that conversation was completely impossible.I appreciate the effort with a live DJ and the vibe was good, people were having a good time but some of us also want to converse at dinner and not just eat and look at each other for 2.5 hours because service is slow and music is blasting.
