Dr. Limon Ceviche Pinecrest - Miami

This is my 2nd time visiting Dr. Limon and they don’t disappoint. The server Recomended a Margarita with Chicha Morada and an amazing Octopus with diced fried potatoes. The combination was amazing and so was the presentation with the dry ice. Definitely coming back for more.Kid-friendliness: They also took care of our two kids by bringing their food first and they loved the chicken with rice

First let me say the people were awesome. The food not so. I ordered seafood chaufa. It only had 3 shrimp, a few scallops but big slices of calamari which were terribly tough. The flavor was very blah. I ordered huacaina sauce to see if it could help and their sauce was not spicy at all. Again very bland. I paid with tax and tip almost $30. Way too expensive for blah rice. Very disappointed I’ve had chaufa at Pisco y Nazca and the flavor was much better although they skimp on the seafood too. Won’t be back.

Wonderful service. Great food. However, what's up with the music selection? I can power through listening to one loud and annoying song from NSYNC, but to play the entire album? That was downright torturous. Please add variety.

The restaurant AC was down but we ventured to eat there anyways. We were surprised at the large party automatic gratuity charge for five persons and saw no notice of this in the menu nor did the waiter mention it. My experience with large parties is 8 or more and the waiter making at note of this. I asked for the manager and his response is we define what is a large party and I can force you to pay a gratuity. I strongly advise potential customers to watch out and the manager should refresh himself on Florida law.It seems to me that the restaurant is in potential violation of Florida State Statue: 509.214 Notification of automatic gratuity charge. —Every public food service establishment which includes an automatic gratuity or service charge in the price of the meal shall include on the food menu and on the face of the bill provided to the customer notice that an automatic gratuity is included.
