Restaurant Family - Meyrueis

After reading the reviews we expected that eating tastier, but we were a bit disappointed. the price was not high, but also the quality of food.

Really wanted to eat here, but despite a beautiful terrace with a view of the river, we were told that they would serve only in the inner, given the Covid restrictions, we were unpleasant with

We went to the family to dinner before we left the city. great eating (they aligot kills it,) more amazing cheese and gloomy. the staff was very nice, although the restaurant was overcrowded and the service was fast. just avoid their half bottle of red...Weine, which is far too young (1 year) and not to honor the dishes.

We ate here and it was one of the best meals we had in France. The vegetable soup was excellent, and so was the salad. The meat was excellent and even our kids loved the food. The deserts were excellent and so was the service....We speak very basic French and they were patient and accommodating.

We were staying at the hotel next door, L'Europe, which doesn't have a restaurant but has links to the Hotel Family. It was raining over the busy weekend of July 14, so everywhere was filling up. We were given a table in the large dining...room, one of the last, and expected to spend the evening waiting. To our delight, the service was relatively prompt, friendly and efficient. We both took the €19.90 menu which had a cèpes mousse on toast with some ham and salad and pine-nuts. The vinaigrette was excellent and the whole plate a delightful surprise. Next came pork belly in honey sauce with a side of aubergines which was so good, my partner asked for seconds. We asked for the recipe and was told that the chef just said they were fried. Some of the best aubergines we've ever tasted. My partner had a selection of tasty cheeses for dessert and I had prunes in armagnac. We drank the house rosé which was a very good Saint Saturnin at €5 for half a litre. The staff was friendly, warm and very professional. Really, we were very pleasantly surprised, especially as it was a very busy holiday weekend. The only issue was that it was noisy as there were so many people. Not good for a peaceful romantic soirée, but fine for everyone else. The terrace outside, in fine weather, would probably be calmer.
