Good food, friendly service, located in a place in the city centre. Daily lunch specialties at €7-8. Beautiful salads (before, in May also) and regional specialties.
The food was absolutely delicious, especially sparrow, the staff nice and fast. We were thrilled. Thanks to the staff and owners for a nice evening!
The welcoming was really nice and friendly. The waiter, a young lady, very helpful and kind. We ordered the Schwäbischer Zwiebelrostbraten (roast beef - a local specialty) and a Rumpsteak. Meat was tender and tasty. Very convenient if you are shopping in Metzingen and want to eat properly. Nice German beer too .
Das Schönbeins hat auch nach einem Pächterwechsel nichts von seinem Charme verloren. Es ist gemütlich. Die Preise üblich und die Bedienung zuvorkommend und sehr nett. Es ist immer wieder schön dort in gemütlicher Runde zu sitzen.
