Fresh Coast - Metuchen

Was looking for a quick bite for lunch with healthier options and stumbled upon fresh coast. I built my own bowl with tofu. Service was quick. Food was tasty and tofu was cooked perfectly. Definitely a good option for a quick, fresh, healthy meal. They seem to have plenty of options for customization as well as pre designed poke bowls. Price was reasonable, no more than your large chain lunch spots.

Second time at this location and I will sadly say I will never be coming back. Unfortunately this location is not meeting the same standards as the original location in Newark. The prep counter was filthy and our bowls were very sloppy, the zoodles were dragging out of the bowl as she moved them across the counter. I hope the owners address this issue promptly.

I put in my order via Caviar app on Tuesday for today which is Friday and the driver called me saying that the restaurant does not see my order. So I cancel my order thru the app and order directly with Fresh Coast. They handed the order to the same driver, mind you, the driver does not work for them. They work for Caviar app. 2 hours later, my order never came thru. I called to see why and the person at the restaurant said he has no idea because he doesnt even have a contact for the driver. He also said to me “well, I did make the order for you”. This was his answer after I asked for a refund. Horrible horrible customer service. By the way, this was my first time ordering from this place. I do hope my meal gets refunded by the restaurant.

My girlfriend and I love coming here for the fruit bowls poke bowls for dinner best of both worlds! Staff are always very nice, they really pack the fruit bowls haha more than playa bowls. Highly recommend!

2 stars only because I used to love coming here. The last 2 times I ordered- The bowls were so bad that it actually warranted me to write this. The quality has gone downhill. One bowl was basically all sauce and no poke! I could count the total protein cubes on one hand. I don't recommend coming here.
